1. The arrangements were baffling

For the first interview, I was supposed to meet with someone in a director-level position or similar, but the supervisor in charge was not there because they had gone out. As a result, there was no meaningful outcome, and I was asked to come back another time. I don't know why they didn't notify me in advance and reschedule instead of wasting the interviewee's time. It was extremely disrespectful. The interview with the director consisted of self-introductions and questions about my strengths—information that could already be found on my résumé. They couldn't ask in depth about the actual job responsibilities. It was truly a waste of time!

2. Salary

At the end of the second interview, they told me that they would need to consider the salary I had requested. They said what the average salary for the position was and asked whether I would be willing to lower my expectations. It was really strange—my minimum expected salary was clearly stated. If they couldn't meet it, they shouldn't have invited me to interview in the first place, let alone try to cut it down. What a waste of time! Many companies have this problem. It's absolutely ridiculous!

1. Even efficient work is criticized if you leave on time, but there is no overtime pay for working late. During onboarding, they say you can apply for it, but if you do, you will get an earful. When taking leave, you also have to remain on standby at all times, ready to attend meetings and respond to company messages.

They are given work by every department, work overtime into the late night, are arbitrarily berated, and are expected to apologize every day—it is all considered normal. The overall work environment is extremely poor, and the boss’s favorites hold the most power.

3. Being told that there are bonuses for achieving targets, annual salary adjustments, employee trips, and so on is all a lie. Even the promised guaranteed year-end bonus may be deducted.

Those who enjoy challenging themselves can give it a try.

Fix the bugs first, then come back for the interview.

You secretly changed the gacha dates without even making an announcement, and you still have the nerve to publish the game.

People who truly love the company's games should be able to burn themselves out for their passion.

If part-time workers want overtime pay, they have to apply in advance,

but who knows whether they'll have to work overtime that day? (Although they work almost two hours of overtime every day.)

So basically, there is no overtime pay.

Also, drinking the company's coffee causes heart palpitations, and everyone in the department smokes.

They can accommodate interviews only after 8 p.m.

That alone shows how extreme this company’s overtime practices are.

HR and the manager will directly tell you that everyone typically leaves after 8 p.m.

Usually, people leave after 10 p.m.

If marketing needs to participate in filming advertisements, you may have to work until the early hours of the morning, yet still start the early shift the next day.

All I can say is that it’s extremely exploitative.

If you value efficiency and want to leave work on time, I strongly do not recommend it.

The worst part is that the pay isn’t even high.

The interviewer was very honest about the working conditions.

1. Since I was interviewing for a marketing position, the interviewer candidly said that everyone, on average, leaves work at around 8–9 p.m. every day.

2. The interviewer also honestly explained that if an advertisement is being filmed, marketing staff have to be on set, and often stay there until the early hours of the morning or even the next morning.

3. Even if you work until the early hours of the morning or the next day, you cannot simply take the day off to rest, because there will still be many things to handle the next day.

4. If the game you are responsible for does not make money for the company that year, the marketing staff and PM responsible for it will be laid off directly.

After hearing this, I felt that the working conditions were extremely exploitative... It also seemed like a very unstable job.

A game’s lack of profitability could also be due to product-selection issues, and not necessarily the fault of marketing or the PM, but the company would directly lay people off as punishment.

On top of that, the overtime situation seemed extremely serious: even if you work until the early hours of the morning, you still have to continue working the next day.

Simply put, it is a position that requires you to give your life to the company.

Still, I appreciate the interviewer being so honest. As a result, I do not plan to take the job. I still want to have some personal time of my own.
