1. Unless you are short of money, you should think carefully before choosing this job.
2. The company has a strong brand, which is a plus.
3. There are many regular customers.
1. The scheduled working hours are 0800–1730, but the company’s unwritten rule requires sales representatives to wait until 1730 before entering the company.
2. Sales representatives are required to wait until 1800 to hand over the day’s cash to accounting. In other words, they are forced to work an extra half hour without pay, because accounting only starts counting overtime after 1800 and is unwilling to work before then.
3. After entering the company at 1730, sales representatives must either complete reports or restock products. On average, this is finished at 1900; for new employees, it takes until 8000 to finish.
4. The company has so many rules and procedures that tasks not normally considered the responsibility of sales representatives become their responsibility.
5. An all-in-one system. In other words, the reports are tedious. Although they are not difficult, they consume a lot of time after work.
6. Prices differ greatly between channels, often forcing sales representatives to pay out of pocket to meet their sales targets because of the channel price differences.
7. Performance targets are applied uniformly, without considering the relative strength of each territory. In other words, people assigned to weaker territories are left to struggle.
8. Overtime pay is provided for working on alternate weekends, but if you do not work overtime, your supervisor will criticize you, saying that sales personnel should not go too long without working overtime.
9. The company has not yet provided office supplies for sales representatives, so many items must be self-provided—for example, ballpoint pens and staplers.
10. Employees must provide a personal guarantor and a housing guarantor.
